In times of confusion, you can be as knowledgeable or wise as you can. But it’s with du’a, through which you attain guidance from Allah, that you land to safety.
Thankfully, the Prophet ṣallā Allāhu ‘alayhi wa sallam has taught us the du’a we need in such times.

اللَّهُمَّ رَبَّ جِبْرَائِيلَ وَمِيكَائِيلَ وَإِسْرَافِيلَ، فَاطِرَ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالأَرْضِ، عَالِمَ الغَيْبِ وَالشَّهَادَةِ، أَنْتَ تَـحْكُمُ بَيـْنَ عِبَادِكَ فِيمَا كَانُوا فِيهِ يَخْتَلِفُونَ. اِهْدِنِي لِـمَا اخْتُلِفَ فِيهِ مِنَ الـحَقِّ بِإذْنِكَ؛ إِنَّكَ تَهْدِي مَنْ تَشَاءُ إِلَى صِرَاطٍ مُسْتَقِيمٍ.
“O Allah, Lord of Jibril, Mika’il and Israfil, Creator of the heavens and the earth, Knower of the unseen and the seen, You judge between Your slaves concerning wherein they differ. O Allah, guide me to the disputed matters of truth for You are the One Who guides to the Straight Path.”
