Alhamdulillah… All praise and thanks are due to the Almighty Allah. I send peace and blessings upon Ḥabībī Muḥammad, his household, companions and all those who follow his guided path.
As I was about to go to bed last night, the breaking news emerged: Israel bombs Al-Shifā’ (the biggest) hospital in Gaza, killing at least 10 children. So far, since it started its latest assault on Gaza, the Israeli army has mainly targeted children and women, although they claim Hamas uses them as human shield. Israel has mercilessly bombed schools, hospitals, mosques, beaches and playgrounds. Don't ask about homes. Death toll among Palestinians has exceeded 1000 people.
In addition to that, on one hand an Israeli female politician calls for the killing of all Palestinian mothers and on the other hand, an academic calls for Palestinian women to be raped! This mentality confirms that Israel is living the illusion that it can put a stop to the upbringing of a generation that will carry on with the resistance to the existence of Jewish Zionist state on their stolen land.
There’s a ḥadīth which has lifted my confidence that the people of Palestine, Gaza especially cannot be defeated by oppressors, no matter how powerful such oppressors appear to be. Imām Muslim reported a ḥadīth from the narration of Thawbān, that the Prophet, ṣallā Allāhu ‘alaihi wa sallam said:
لَا تَزَالُ طَائِفَةٌ مِنْ أُمَّتِي ظَاهِرِينَ عَلَى الْحَقِّ لَا يَضُرُّهُمْ مَنْ خَذَلَهُمْ حَتَّى يَأْتِيَ أَمْرُ اللَّهِ وَهُمْ كَذَلِكَ
“A group of my Ummah will continue fighting for the truth, and will not be harmed by those who betray them, until the decree of Allāh arrives, while they are still the same.”
In another more-specific ḥadīth, Imām al-Tabarānī reported from the narration of Abū Umāmah, raḍiya Allāhu ‘anhu, that the Prophet, āallā Allāhu ‘alaihi wa sallam said:
لاَ تَزَالُ طَائِفَةٌ مِنْ أُمَّتِي عَلَى الدِّينِ ظَاهِرِينَ، لِعَدُوِّهِمْ قَاهِرِينَ، لاَ يَضُرُّهُمْ مَنْ خَالَفَهُمْ إِلاَّ مَا أَصَابَهُمْ مِنْ لَأْوَاءٍ، حَتَّى يَأْتِيَهُمْ أَمْرُ اللَّهِ وَهُمْ كَذَلِكَ.” قَالُوا: يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ وَأَيْنَ هُمْ؟ قَالَ: “بِبَيْتِ المَقْدِسِ وَأَكْنَافِ بَيْتِ المَقْدِسِ
“A group of my Ummah will continue fighting for the religion, they are victorious over their enemy. They will not be harmed by those who opposes them except for the difficulty that will affect them, until the decree of Allah reaches them, while they are still in that firmness.” The companions asked: Where are they, Yā Rasūlallāh? He said: They are at Bait al-Maqdis (Jerusalem) and the environs of Bait al-Maqdis.
When the Prophet ṣallā Allāhu ‘alaihi wa sallam said the above sayings, there wasn’t “state of Israel.” It was therefore, to inform us of the unknown, among others which have happened, and others are yet to happen. This particular one may be happening. Based on the first ḥadīth, Imām al-Nawawī, in his commentary on Saḥīḥ Muslim said:
“The victorious group in the Ummah is distributed in all fields and specializations. Among them are the brave fighters and warriors, the truthful and God-fearing scholars, scholars of ḥadiīh, people who enjoin others to righteousness and prevent them from immorality (amr bi al-ma'ruf wa nahy ‘an al-munkar) and good people from all other angles. They don't necessarily have to be grouped at one place, but they can be spread in different parts on the earth.”
The second ḥadīth clearly puts Hamas in focus. Undoubtedly, they are included in the first ḥadīth also.
The munafiqun, who the Qur'an has extensively talked about, together with the Arab Zionist, may not believe in these Prophetic sayings, but the Israelis do. Yes, they do believe because they know The Prophet Muhammad is a true Messenger of God, who only spoke the truth that was revealed to him by God.
After the establishment of “Israel”, the Jewish “state” focused on planting the tree of the Jews (gharqad). Jews like to plant this tree because they believe it's the tree of life for them. This is because the Prophet, ṣallā Allāhu ‘alahi wa sallam, has mentioned that a war will occur between Muslims and Jews, and stones and trees will talk; calling Muslims to come for Jews hiding behind them, except the gharqad tree, as it's the tree of the Jews.
Imām Muslim reported a ḥadith from the narration of Sayyidinā Abī Hurairah, raḍiya Allāhu ‘anhu, that the Prophet, ṣallā Allāhu ‘alaihi wa sallam, said:
لَا تَقُومُ السَّاعَةُ حَتَّى يُقَاتِلَ الْمُسْلِمُونَ الْيَهُودَ فَيَقْتُلُهُمْ الْمُسْلِمُونَ حَتَّى يَخْتَبِئَ الْيَهُودِيُّ مِنْ وَرَاءِ الْحَجَرِ وَالشَّجَرِ، فَيَقُولُ الْحَجَرُ أَوْ الشَّجَرُ: يَا مُسْلِمُ يَا عَبْدَ اللَّهِ، هَذَا يَهُودِيٌّ خَلْفِي فَتَعَالَ فَاقْتُلْهُ، إِلَّا الْغَرْقَدَ فَإِنَّهُ مِنْ شَجَرِ الْيَهُودِ
“The Last Hour would not come unless the Muslims will fight against the Jews. The Jews would hide themselves behind stones and trees, and a stone or a tree would say: ‘O Muslim, servant of Allāh, there is a Jew behind me; come and kill him’ except the tree of gharqad which would not say, for it is the tree of the Jews.”
This tree naturally grows in Palestine. But after the Israelis occupation of the land, they’ve systematically planted more of it, for the purpose mentioned in the ḥadīth.
Gaza Strip
For a layman, it’s difficult to figure out the secret of the strength and determination in resistance, in the people of Gaza. Gaza has been living in the biggest prison in the world, blocked by enemies from the within and without. Yet, it managed to ridicule and undermine the military power of the tyrant “nation”?
Gaza has been under the siege imposed by “Israel” for more than 7 years now. It’s blocked by “Israel” on three lengthy sides, and Egypt on the other side. Their only gateway to freedom is the sky, which they can’t fly through. An unmeasured breath in may welcome a drone attack from Israel!
“Israel” is supported by the “world super powers.” With that, it perceives itself as the strongest nation, in the Middle East, in terms of military. However, with “ineffective weapons”, Hamas has shown a unique bravery and outstanding performance that has surprised the world. Among others is, as Palestinians die, the Israeli economy collapses. They don’t have to courage to reveal their exact losses (lives and economy) as a result of this assault on Gaza. But we know that 80 airlines haves stopped flying to Israel until further notice. Additionally, Israelis, for the first time, have to remain indoors, they much switch off their lights while indoors, or they better evacuate to shelters.
By now, it's clear that, the people of Gaza are proud of Hamas. This is what Israel and its allies hate to hear most. I assume that all true children of Palestine see Hamas as their liberators. It retains for the Ummah its dignity and pride. Thus, we don’t see any protest against Hamas on the ground. Only the Jewish and the Arab Zionists do hate Hamas.
The two condition of the victorious group, indicated by the ḥadīth, is that it care not about who opposes it or betrays it. We see how much “Israel” opposes (and hates) Hamas, at the time that the Egyptian leaders and other Arab rulers betray the people of Gaza. Add to this, the fact that it’s in the environs of Bait al-Maqdis.
The one, who opposes or betrays the Muslim Ummah due to his fear of death, or should I say his engrossment with the deception of this temporal life, is deceiving none but himself. Death is a decreed destination for all. The Israelis are hysterically killing the Palestinians because that’s their last option, not knowing that they are sending them straight to the heaven. This is what our Prophet assured us.
Allāh has promised to grant victory to His religion and whomever chooses to side with it. However, this victory is not achieved comfortably. The reason why the Israeli soldiers have no morale courage to stand in front of the armless Palestinian fighters is that no one can assure them heaven if they are killed in any form of battle.
