Ya Bunayya: #15 – Always Remember the First Rule

Yā Bunayya!

Always remember the first rule.

Everything is connected to the first rule. Therefore you should refer to it to ensure you connect everything to it; the first rule..

There’s no compulsion in belief. Therefore, you can choose to believe it or disbelieve. However, be ready for the implication of your choice, if you disbelieve. Good news;  if you take heed (meaning if you choose to believe), you can only save yourself from a greater regret.

Ya Bunayya,

Your presence on this earth represents Part One of your life. Your ultimate duty here is to worship the One Supreme Being. Nothing more, nothing less. Howsoever you choose to conduct, it will pay off the moment Part Two of your life starts. That’s when resurrection begins.

“But why?” you may ask. The answer is simple: It’s up to Him to decide. And He has decided. The good news is that you’re informed about it.

If you forget, seek to remember. If you don’t know, seek to learn. This is the most practical way to keep you on track. “How to ask?” you are still asking. Well, he has prescribed it for you. You can’t remember? Read the Book and Tradition –the Qur’an and Sunnah.

The first rule is Tawhīd!

Tawḥīd is to have a continuous active sense of the oneness of Allah. In all you do. In all you see. And in all you say. Respond to the oneness of Allah by living according to the authentic teachings of His Prophet ṣallā Allāhu ’alayhi wa sallam.

You must believe in all the Prophets chosen and sent by Allah. But there’s only one Prophet for you to follow, He’s The Prophet Muhammad, ṣallā Allāhu ’alayhi wa sallam. Everything you are taught should align with that. And you’re good to go. Insha Allah!
