We don’t want our evil doings lead to evil thoughts, that may lead to forming evil fluids in ourselves, which may subsequently have negative impacts on our offsprings. This du‘ā’ which comes from the ḥadīth narrated by Shakl ibn Ḥumayd al-‘Absī handles that nicely, inshā Alah. The du‘ā’ reads:
Text
“O Allah, I seek refuge in You from the evil my hearing (what I hear), from the evil of my vision (what I see), from the evil of my tongue (what I say), from the evil of my heart (what I think and feel), and from the evil of my semen (sexual passion).”
Pluralized
