The Video That Engaged 5 Million FBians on My FB Page

Alhamdulillah… I send peace and blessings upon Habībī Muhammad, his household, his companions and those who follow his guided path.

On 24 September 2014, I posted a 2-minute video which features an African boy reciting the Qur’an from his memory in a very talented and a moving way. The video gained thousands of reactions. As at today 19 October 2104, the video has gained more than 51,700 sharings, more than 33,300 likes and more than 4000 comments. Additionally, my humble page was pleased to gain 7000 new Likes (fans) and 5 million people engaged on my Facebook page in the past week. See the video below:

I’ve received several messages pertaining to the boy. Some asked about the whereabouts of the Qur’an Genius (the boy). Some are interested to know where he comes from. Others are willing to give him some donations. Some are ready to sponsor his future endeavours in Qur’anic studies. Some even requested for more of his recitations.

A message from Australia asked me to convey salam (greetings) to my younger brother =D . Another message was thanking me for the good job done! 😉 Another message thought I’m running a Qur’anic school, which produced that boy.

The truth is (I’ve said this before, and saying again), I do not know the boy, nor where he comes from. I can only guess, based on the background and his way of recitation, that the boy possibly comes from West Africa (don’t think about Ebola, for now 🙂 ), more likely Senegal (gain this is my personal analysis). I found the video shared on Facebook (I forgot the page), and I also shared it here with my readers.

Based on viewers request, wanting to listen to more recitations of the boy, I asked and found the original clip (click here to view it or view it below) which is about 6 minutes long.

For those who want to sponsor the boy in his Qur’anic studies, my advice is that, you can still do so by sponsoring a child next to you, who is studying the Qur'an. If you do, you will get still get your intended rewards, the boy in the video will get the rewards too, because he inspired that kindness in you, the other child receiving your kindness will benefit, for he may be in more desperate need.

The same suggestion applies, if you are willing to give him some donations. Find a Qur’an learner, in your neighbourhood, and make him happy. You won’t know how the boy in the video will benefit from such a kindness. But I’m sure he will benefit from it.

As at now, I’m running any Qur’anic school, although I intend to do in future, insha Allah, since I’m a Qur’an specialist, in addition to writing. This means, I don’t accept donations for this purpose.
